Statistics of Electoral Systems and Methods of Election Manipulation
Figure 5.
"Gerrymandering" is a manipulation of constituency boundaries, which leads to the victory of the «red» candidate in a situation where the winner of the election is the one who won in most districts. As before, there are ten people in each constituency, but now the «blue» candidate has a majority only in two districts but the «red» one has a majority in three districts, so the «red» candidate wins.
