Neonatal Presentation of Ivemark Syndrome with Asplenia: A Case Report and Review of the Literature

During the same evaluation, an abdominal ultrasound was performed to correlate the findings and guide the diagnosis toward a specific type of visceral heterotaxy. The study revealed a centrally located liver, absence of the spleen, intestinal malrotation, and right-sided gastric curvature, findings suggestive of visceral heterotaxy with features consistent with right atrial isomerism (Ivemark syndrome).
