Background: The COVID-19 pandemic posed significant psychological challenges to frontline healthcare workers (HCWs), including anxiety, stress, and emotional strain. Aim: This study investigates the psychological impact on HCWs during the pandemic and explores coping strategies employed to manage distress. Methods: An integrative review was conducted using 24 studies published between January and December 2020. These studies were analyzed to identify common psychological outcomes and coping mechanisms among HCWs. Results: Healthcare workers experienced significant psychological distress during the COVID-19 pandemic, including anxiety, stress, insomnia, and depression. Anxiety was the most commonly reported issue, particularly among women, younger healthcare workers, and frontline staff. Stress levels were heightened by high workloads, exposure to COVID-19 patients, and inadequate protective measures. Coping strategies and self-care behaviors, such as seeking social support and utilizing institutional resources, varied in effectiveness across populations. Conclusion: The findings highlight the urgent need for targeted mental health support and resilience programs for HCWs, ensuring they are better equipped to face future health crises.

Considering the current climate conjuncture, it is a consensus that green spaces in large contemporary urban areas should be increasingly more numerous and simultaneously more sustainable, being adapted to the edaphoclimatic conditions of the site, and with reduced maintenance costs. In the case of Algarve, where this research is focused, the current and future water availability, assumes a preponderant role in the design of green spaces, where the demands mentioned above can only be achieved if we deviate from conventional landscape practices and develop holistic strategies of management and design of green spaces that integrate different areas of knowledge and not merely aesthetic issues. In this context, this work aims to develop more adapted and resilient landscaping practices to the current and future climatic conditions of the Algarve, thus reinventing the concept of landscaping in the south of Portugal. Thus, it will be of paramount importance to develop more sustainable, resilient and tolerant projects to worsening ecological conditions, particularly limitations associated with water availability. The xeromorphic succulents are a group of plants with mechanisms of tolerance to water stress and with very specific characteristics, being succulence one of the most relevant. Studies on these mechanisms are increasingly frequent, which may prove to be very advantageous in our adaptation to future climatic challenges. In addition, their ornamental potential is enormous, since their bold forms and colours are a veritable sensory explosion, which, combined with their morphological and physiological characteristics, make them the species of choice in the reconversion or creation of xerophytic gardens.

This paper investigates the constructability of angles multiples of 3 within the framework of Euclidean geometry. It makes a significant contribution by presenting the first geometric construction for all such angles, offering a rigorous solution to a longstanding geometric problem. The paper reaffirms the efficacy of Euclidean geometry in providing precise constructions and robust proofs for these angles, demonstrating the enduring strength of Euclidean principles from classical to modern times. The presented workflow goes beyond Euclidean geometry to examine non-Euclidean methods, particularly analytical approaches, revealing misconceptions that compromise the genetic and geometric rigor of Euclidean principles. The paper exposes incongruities when algebraic proofs related to angle constructability are applied to the Euclidean system, emphasizing the misalignment of fundamental geometric concepts. A notable result in the paper is the construction of a angle, introducing the “ angle chord” as a novel geometric property. This property challenges assumptions made by non-Euclidean methods and highlights the nuanced geometric properties crucial for rigorous constructions. The paper refutes the fallacy of relying solely on algebra for solutions to angles multiples of , emphasizing the necessity of embracing Euclidean geometry for geometric discoveries. Simulation-based learning (SBL) is widely recognized as an effective educational approach that bridges theory and practice in nursing education. Despite its global adoption, limited research has examined the experiences of Filipino nursing students with SBL, particularly in resource-constrained settings. This study explored the perspectives of Bachelor of Science in Nursing students from a university in Metro Manila, Philippines, on the impact of SBL on their skills, emotional responses, and challenges encountered. A descriptive qualitative design was employed using purposive sampling of ten students who had participated in at least one SBL activity. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and short written reflections and analyzed thematically following Braun and Clarke’s framework to capture nuanced experiences. Three major themes emerged from the analysis. First, students reported initial anxiety, nervousness, and stress during their early SBL experiences, which gradually transformed into confidence, adaptability, and resilience as they gained familiarity and competence. Second, SBL enhanced technical and cognitive skills such as clinical judgment, decision-making, teamwork, and patient-centered care, supporting students’ readiness for real-world practice. Third, students identified resource limitations, insufficient equipment, and time constraints as significant barriers to optimal learning, though these challenges also fostered creativity and perseverance. The findings demonstrate that SBL fosters technical competence, critical thinking, and professional growth but requires institutional support to address resource constraints and faculty development needs. This study underscores the importance of expanding SBL in Philippine nursing curricula to align with international best practices and to contribute to Sustainable Development Goals 3 (good health and well-being), 4 (quality education), and 5 (gender equality).

Unequal Burden of Loss of a Loved One in Non-Hispanic Black and White Californians

Abstract Purpose: Although the effect of loss of a loved one on depression is well established, very limited knowledge exists on racial differences in this effect. Aim: In the current study we compared Non-Hispanic White (NHW) and Non-Hispanic Black (NHB) Californians for the effects of loss of a loved one on depression in a representative sample of adults in California. Methods: This cross-sectional study used data from the Survey of California Adults on Serious Illness and End-of-Life 2019. Overall, 1603 people entered our study. We compared 901 (56.2%) NHB and 702 (43.8%) NHW adults (age 18 and older). Race/ethnicity, demographics (age and gender), socio-economic factors (education, income, employment, and marital status), religiosity, and health (self-rated health and number of chronic medical conditions), and depression were measured. To perform data analysis, we used logistic regression models. Results: In the pooled sample, loss of a loved one was not associated with self-reported depression, net of all covariates. Race, however, interacted with loss of a loved one on depression, suggesting a larger association for NHBs compared to NHWs. Smallholder farmers play a pivotal role in global food security; however, they remain exceptionally vulnerable to the impacts of climate change due to their reliance on natural resources and limited adaptive capacities. This narrative review synthesizes a wide range of global sources to explore the intersection of smallholder agriculture and climate adaptation strategies. The review examines adaptation practices, agroecological methods, and the adoption of climate-resilient crop varieties. It reveals that the implementation of these strategies is frequently hindered by systemic barriers such as financial constraints, limited technological access, and institutional inefficiencies. Recognizing that previous studies have addressed isolated aspects of adaptation or relied on secondary data, this review highlights research gaps and offers a comprehensive synthesis of relevant literature. This review uses a narrative synthesis model suitable for integrating evidence from agronomy, economics, and social science to capture the complex challenges faced by smallholder farmers. The review emphasizes the importance of policy frameworks and participatory approaches that empower smallholder communities. This review synthesizes current evidence to inform potential directions for targeted interventions and future field-based studies, while recognizing the limitations of relying on secondary data. These recommendations aim to facilitate integrated policy reforms and drive research initiatives, ultimately strengthening the resilience and adaptability of smallholder agriculture in the face of ongoing climate change.

Complexity Leadership Theory (CLT) is a new and revolutionary concept in addressing healthcare crises worldwide. Its relevance and applications were tested during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, no definite and encompassing research was done to apply it to nursing leadership. Thus, this study examines CLT integration into nursing leadership to address the challenges posed by the pandemic. Through a systematic review of literature from PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, relevant studies were analyzed to determine how complexity leadership theory was defined, conceptualized, and operationalized within nursing leadership context. The findings reveal that traditional hierarchical leadership models are insufficient in a dynamic crisis environment like the pandemic. Instead, CLT’s framework which encompasses adaptive, administrative, and enabling leadership facilitates innovation, resilience, and effective interprofessional collaboration. Nurse leaders employing these strategies are better positioned to manage resources limitation, foster shared decision-making, and implement technological advancements in rapidly changing healthcare settings. Overall, this study underscores the potential of complexity leadership theory to transform nursing leadership practices by promoting continuous learning and empowerment, thereby enhancing crisis response and preparedness for future pandemics.

The pharmaceutical industry is undergoing a profound transformation driven by advancements in Information Technology (IT), with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems playing a pivotal role in reshaping operations. These systems offer integrated solutions that streamline key business processes, such as production, inventory management, supply chain optimization, regulatory compliance, and data integration, contributing significantly to operational efficiency and organizational agility. This paper explores the evolution and impact of ERP systems within the pharmaceutical sector, highlighting their contributions to overcoming the industry’s inherent challenges, including complex regulatory requirements, the need for accurate and real-time data, and the demand for supply chain resilience. The integration of cloud-based ERP solutions, the incorporation of emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and the Internet of Things (IoT), and enhanced data analytics capabilities have revolutionized pharmaceutical IT. These advancements not only reduce operational costs, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance collaboration but also ensure compliance with stringent global regulations, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and FDA guidelines. Moreover, ERP systems have been instrumental in managing the pharmaceutical supply chain, ensuring product traceability, and improving inventory control and order fulfillment processes. This manuscript examines how ERP systems enable pharmaceutical companies to maintain high standards of product quality, improve decision-making, and ensure the safety and efficacy of drugs through robust tracking and auditing mechanisms. A case study of a pharmaceutical company that implemented an ERP system demonstrates the tangible benefits, including increased operational efficiency, improved compliance rates, and enhanced customer satisfaction. However, despite the clear advantages, challenges such as customization complexities, data integration issues, and resistance to change remain. As the pharmaceutical industry continues to evolve, ERP systems will remain a cornerstone of digital transformation, facilitating smarter decision-making, better resource management, and enhanced collaboration across global operations. Background: Disasters such as typhoons, floods, and earthquakes frequently impact the Philippines, placing nurses at the forefront of response and care. Given these recurring threats, ensuring that nurses possess adequate awareness, knowledge, and skills is crucial to mitigate risks, enhance preparedness, and promote effective disaster management. Aim/Objectives: This study sought to (1) assess the current levels of awareness, knowledge, skills, and involvement of private hospital nurses in Rizal Province across four phases of disaster management—mitigation and prevention, preparedness, response, and rehabilitation and recovery; and (2) propose a contingency and training plan based on identified gaps. Methods: A descriptive correlational design was employed. A total of 350 nurses from Level 1, 2, and 3 hospitals participated by completing a validated questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, and correlation tests to identify differences and relationships among variables. Results: Overall, the nurses reported very high levels of awareness and skills, coupled with a high level of knowledge and significant involvement in disaster-related activities. Nurses in larger (Level 3) hospitals exhibited higher practical readiness and engagement, while those in Level 1 and 2 facilities had comparatively lower scores. Positive correlations emerged between higher levels of awareness, knowledge, and skills and increased engagement in disaster initiatives. Conclusion: Building on these findings, a targeted contingency and training plan was designed using Pucel’s Performance-based Instructional Design, emphasizing hands-on simulations, structured policy briefings, and collaborative efforts with local disaster risk reduction offices. Addressing these specific gaps can bolster hospital preparedness, strengthen community resilience, and ensure more effective disaster response and patient care.

Pharmaceutical supply chains are critical to ensuring the availability of safe and effective medications, yet they face numerous challenges that can jeopardize public health. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the key issues impacting pharmaceutical supply chains, including regulatory compliance, demand forecasting, supply chain visibility, quality assurance, and geopolitical risks. Regulatory compliance remains a significant concern due to the stringent guidelines imposed by authorities such as the FDA and EMA, which can lead to increased operational costs and time delays. Additionally, traditional demand forecasting methods often fail to accurately predict fluctuations in drug demand, resulting in stockouts or excess inventory. Limited supply chain visibility further complicates these challenges, hindering timely decision-making and operational efficiency. Quality assurance is paramount, as maintaining the integrity of pharmaceutical products throughout the supply chain is crucial to preventing costly recalls and ensuring patient safety. Moreover, the globalization of supply chains introduces vulnerabilities to geopolitical risks, trade disputes, and natural disasters. In response to these issues, this article outlines strategic recommendations for optimizing pharmaceutical supply chains. These include leveraging advanced analytics and IoT technologies to enhance demand forecasting and visibility, strengthening compliance through automated systems and training, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, implementing robust risk management frameworks, and investing in quality management systems. Drug shortages represent a significant and growing challenge within the pharmaceutical supply chain, with profound implications for patient care, public health, and healthcare costs. This manuscript provides a comprehensive examination of the causes and impacts of drug shortages, highlighting the multifaceted nature of this issue. Key factors contributing to shortages include manufacturing complications, limited availability of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), market dynamics that discourage the production of less profitable medications, and regulatory challenges that slow down the approval process for new manufacturing capacities. The consequences of these shortages are far-reaching. Patients often face treatment delays, which can lead to adverse health outcomes, increased hospitalization rates, and even mortality. Healthcare providers experience heightened operational costs as they seek alternative therapies and manage complications resulting from inadequate treatment. Furthermore, the frequent occurrence of drug shortages erodes public trust in both the healthcare system and the pharmaceutical industry, leading to decreased patient adherence to prescribed therapies. To mitigate the impacts of drug shortages, this manuscript proposes several strategic solutions, including enhanced communication among stakeholders, diversification of supply sources, increased regulatory flexibility, and collaborative approaches between public and private sectors. Additionally, raising awareness among healthcare providers and patients regarding the causes and potential alternatives can empower stakeholders to navigate shortages effectively. Ultimately, addressing drug shortages necessitates a proactive and coordinated effort from all participants in the pharmaceutical supply chain. By implementing these strategies, stakeholders can enhance the resilience of the supply chain, ensuring that essential medications remain accessible and that patient care is not compromised. This study investigates the benefits of forgiveness among adolescents in Junior High Schools (JHS) in Bimbilla, Ghana, focusing on the influence of age on the effectiveness of forgiveness interventions. The study adopted a mixed-method experimental design, a purposive selection of eight JHSs within the Nanumba North Municipality, from which 60 adolescents were randomly chosen to participate. The study employed the Enright Forgiveness Inventory, Depression Mood Scale, and Anger Self-Report items to assess participants' emotional states before and after the intervention. The interventions were structured around the REACH model of forgiveness, which included sessions aimed at helping participants identify sources of hurt, understand the concept of forgiveness, and recognise the emotional costs of holding onto grievances. Qualitative data were analysed into themes using an interpretative lens. A two-way Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) was used to analyse the data. The findings revealed that exposure to forgiveness therapies significantly reshaped participants' negative emotions, leading to a marked decrease in feelings of anger and depression. Post-intervention assessments indicated that participants developed a more positive outlook towards their offenders, highlighting the transformative power of forgiveness in fostering emotional well-being. The study's results align with previous research, indicating that forgiveness interventions can effectively reduce negative emotional states and promote psychological resilience. The implications of these findings suggest that integrating forgiveness education into school curricula could be beneficial for enhancing the mental health of adolescents. By fostering an environment that encourages forgiveness, educators and mental health professionals can help mitigate the adverse effects of unresolved emotional conflicts, ultimately contributing to healthier interpersonal relationships and improved overall well-being among young individuals.

Its primary goal is to discern actionable insights that can inform the development of robust resilience strategies capable of effectively mitigating such disruptions. This study investigates vulnerabilities within the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) supply chain in response to disruptions. Despite theoretical insights, empirical evidence validating these vulnerabilities remains limited. Through empirical analysis, this research aims to identify and elucidate the specific vulnerabilities exacerbated by dynamic disruptions in the API supply chain. The findings are intended to inform the development of resilient strategies capable of mitigating the impact of disruptions on pharmaceutical supply chains.

One of the current issues facing humanity is ensuring sustained global food security in the face of devastating effects of climate change; this challenge is particularly pressing on the African continent. Here, I present an opinion piece identifying local animal genetic resources as "African leverage point" that provide the highest chances to cushion rural fork to climate change, enhance environmental sustainability and food security in Africa. When it comes to boosting food production, coping with climate change, or bolstering the delivery of a wide range of ecosystem services, I believe that African animal genetic resources are essential alternatives for the sustainable growth of the livestock industry and its contribution to food security. Africa needs to address the support and development of indigenous animal genetic resources in order to meet the basic food needs of more than 1 billion people, address numerous environmental issues with continental implications, and focus on more effective and resilient food systems with the greatest impact on food security. The indigenous animal resources diversity and support actions to this unique group could provide a boost in protein that is lacking to constitute healthy diets in Africa. The priorities of nonprofit organizations, foundations, governments, citizens' groups, and companies can be influenced by this leverage point in the African food system. Due to continuous food insecurity, which appears to be becoming worse with climate change and makes it even harder to accomplish the SDGs on the continent, Africa has paid a hefty price for being misled about the worth of its own animal genetic resources. To the contrary, it is highly improbable that a strategy to improve food security and rural livelihoods that undermines the utilization of indigenous animal genetic resources will be viable in long-term. If Africa makes an effort, is committed, and fully commits resources to putting indigenous animal genetic resources at the forefront of combating food insecurity and accelerating the achievement of SDGs, it can achieve more under the adverse prevailing climate change induce environmental conditions. Our personal opinion is that we would not have had the ongoing food problems, even in the face of climate change, if Africa had over the years implemented the necessary mechanisms to develop and promote local animal genetic resources. What lies ahead in terms of climate change effect on food security in Africa is anyone's guess – but whatever it is, promoting continental adapted indigenous animal genetic resources portfolio is ready to handle it. Development and promotion of African animal genetic resources should be part of a continental strategy to transform smallholder animal production by 2050, in line with the goals of achieving the SGDs, to improve rural household food security, and bringing rural economy prosperity, resilience, sustainability, and all other desired animal related food outcomes for rural healthy diets. African animal genetic resources are the most important but underutilized resource to address the issue of ongoing food insecurity. The responsible use of local animal genetic resources through climate smart animal husbandry practices also contributes to food security, rural development and increased employment opportunities. African genetic improvement programs involving indigenous animal genetic resources must be considered as regards to local agriculture and livestock development aspirations, appropriateness to local reality and livelihood security, as well as environmental friendliness. Animal agriculture will fill in the enormous gaps in the continent's food supply if this animal group receives adequate attention and is used integrated properly in crop and livestock systems which characterize smallholder farming sector in Africa. Because they have evolved over time to accommodate the various climatic conditions and environmental pressures on the continent, Africa's native animal genetic resources are particularly resilient. Indirectly, the impact of climate change offers a chance to use native animal genetics from Africa. The use of local animal genetic diversity has the potential to substantially improve Africa's food security landscape hence should be given special consideration for sociocultural, environmental, and economic aspects, and with regard for smallholder farmer-specific factors of interest. African animal genetic resources have contributed significantly to the food and nutrition security aspects of the millions of people in their communities of origin and custody in Africa. The purpose of the perception piece is to educate the reader about the fundamental mechanisms that control the use of continental animal genetic resources and how the outlook for these mechanisms can be manipulated in the future for the benefit of improving food security in Africa. The discussion provides in-depth insight into the pertinent literature in understanding the significance of local animal genetic resources in terms of their contribution to food security in Africa.

The growing complexity of the operating environment urges pharmaceutical innovation. This essay addresses the need for the integration of advanced technologies in the pharmaceutical supply chain. It justifies the value proposition and presents a concrete use case for the integration of deep learning insights to make data-driven decisions. The supply chain has always been a priority for the pharmaceutical industry; research and development recognizes companies' increasing investment in big data strategies, with plans for a CAGR in big data tool adoption. The work presented herein has a preliminary explorative character to recuperate and integrate evidence from partly overlooked practical experience and know-how. The practical relevance of the essay is directed toward practitioners in pharmaceutical production, supply chain management, logistics, and regulatory agencies. The literature has shown a long-term concern for enhanced performance in the pharmaceutical supply chain network. This essay demonstrates the application of deep learning-driven insights to reveal non-evident flow dependencies. The main aim is to present a comprehensive insight into deep learning-driven decision support. The supply chain is portrayed in a holistic manner, seeking end-to-end visibility. Implications for public policy are discussed, such as data equity: many countries are protecting their populations and economic growth by building resilience and efficiency to ensure the capacity to move goods across supply chains. The implementation strategy is covered. The combined reduction of variability, efficiency as matured richness, reliability (on stochastic flows and their understanding through deep learning and data), and system noise (increased dampening through the inclusiveness of all stakeholders) results in increased responsiveness of supply chains for pharmaceutical products. Future work involves the integration of external data, closing the loop between planning and its application in reality.

The management of supply chains is increasingly complex. This study provides a comparative analysis of the cost-benefit analysis for managing various risks. It identifies the financial implications of leveraging artificial intelligence in supply chains to better address risk. Empirical results show a business case for managing some sources of risk more proactively facilitated through predictive modeling techniques offered by AI. Across investigation streams, the use of AI results in an average total cost saving ranging from 41,254 to 4,099,617. Findings from our research can be used to inform managers and theorists about the implications of integrating AI technologies to manage risks in the supply chain. Our work also highlights areas for future research. Given the growing interest in studying sub-second forecasting, our research could be a point of departure for future investigations aimed at considering the impact of forecasting horizons such as an intra-day basis. We formulate a conceptual framework that considers how and to what extent performance evaluation metrics vary according to differences in the fidelity of predictive models and factor importance for identifying risks. We also utilize a mixed-method approach to demonstrate the applicability of our ideas in practice. Our results illustrate the financial implications of integrating AI predictive tools with business processes. Results suggest that real-world companies can circumvent inefficiencies associated with trying to manage many classes of risk via the use of AI-enhanced predictive analytics. As managers need to justify investment to top management, our work supports decision-making by providing a means of conducting a trade-off analysis at the tactical level.

Unfortunately, it is not disaster recovery, high availability, or cloud technologies that are inherently difficult to understand, but rather the action of implementing them for software applications that is difficult. The unique method of implementation for a microservices architecture is explored. Regulatory compliance doesn’t stop just because an effective disaster recovery requirement is tough to satisfy for infrastructure unique to sleek microservices. The high-availability location transparency bliss offered by a cloud solution is appealing to a security engineering department. However, the headache starts when the technology presents a handful of undesirable surprises that leak RESTful microservices to the outside world. These are the challenges that post-SOA cloud-resident robustly scalable applications will need to address and overcome. The goal is to explore several popular methods of accomplishing these tough objectives so that engineers can further research the most practical solution. An innovative implementation that leverages Service Bus relays as an elegant disaster recovery solution while enforcing a strict subnet where RESTful microservices solely live will be discussed. The curiosity lies in the atypical experimentation beyond basic gateways and the facility of using such simplicity while still answering day-to-day software development infrastructure challenges for applications we build. This manuscript explores the intricate relationship between pharmaceutical medicine demand and supply, focusing on key strategies that can help companies effectively navigate these challenges. The demand for pharmaceutical products is driven by several factors, such as population growth, the aging population, the rise of chronic diseases, and the emergence of new health threats. Additionally, healthcare accessibility, affordability, and policy changes significantly impact the consumption of medicines, while innovations in medical technologies and therapies create new treatment needs. On the supply side, pharmaceutical companies face challenges related to manufacturing capacity, raw material availability, distribution logistics, and compliance with ever-evolving global regulatory frameworks. Intelligent Detection of Injection Attacks via SQL Based on Supervised Machine Learning Models for Enhancing Web Security

The most prevalent technique behind security data breaches exists through SQL Injection Attacks. Organizations and individuals suffer from sensitive information exposure and unauthorized entry when attackers take advantage of SQL injection (SQLi) attack vulnerability’s severe risks. Static and heuristic defense methods remain conventional detection tools for previous SQL injection attacks study's foundation is a detection system developed using the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) network, which attempts to efficiently identify SQL Injection attacks (SQLIAs). The suggested Gated Recurrent Unit model was trained using an 80:20 train-test split, and the results showed that SQL injection attacks could be accurately identified with a precision rate of 97%, an accuracy rate of 96.65%, a recall rate of 92.5%, and an F1-score of 94%. The experimental results, together with their corresponding confusion matrix analysis and learning curves, demonstrate resilience and outstanding generalization ability. The GRU model outperforms conventional machine learning (ML) models, including K-Nearest Neighbor’s (KNN), and Support Vector Machine (SVM), in terms of identifying sequential patterns in SQL query data. Recurrent neural architecture proves effective in the detection of SQLi attacks through its ability to provide secure protection for contemporary web applications.

The evolution of supply chains (SC) from a linear to a network structure created an opportunity for new processes, product/service offerings, and provider-business. Rising customer service expectations have led to the need for innovative SC designs to develop and sustain competitive performance globally. Firms are forced to respond and adapt accordingly, thereby leading to design, network, operational, and performance dynamics. Traditionally, SCs are treated as static structures, focusing solely on design and/or operational optimization. Such perspectives are not viable options for SC domains, as they address only a portion of the dynamic problem space, use a deterministic assumption of dominant design variables, capitalize on past data to predict future decisions, and offer pre-classified forecasting options complemented with a limited comprehension of systemic SC elasticity. Novel self-learning agentic systems are proposed that blend the sciencematics of SC decisions and dynamics. The designs guide firms seeking to build adaptive SCs using operational decision processes. The designs address the agentic nature of SC, embedding computational interaction models of firm SC networks. The designs contrast the stochastic action-taking and thereby the performance outcomes, discovering opportunities for adaptive operational designs of SC tasks. Fine-tuning and meta-learning are new design capabilities that adapt to evolving dynamic environments. Frameworks for behavioral customization and systematic exploration of the design space are provided as user guides. Exemplar designs are also provided to serve as a translation template for users to express operational models of their own contexts. To account for the dynamics of supply chains (SC), agent-based models are increasingly adopted. Such models exhibit SC structure and/or formulation dynamics. Though existing efforts commence adjacent-only structural changes, dynamism with respect to tasks is crucial for SC design and operational strategy development. Proposed is a process modeling library and workflow for discovering intricate designs of adaptive agentic systems. The library revises Dataflow and Structure, concealing sequencing and context designs of processes. Prompted specifications describe and enact designs. Applications in SC formulation discovery are provided.

The supply chain ecosystem plays a very important role in the success or failure of organizations, markets, and economies. Supply chain ecosystems are broadly defined as supply chain organizations and their collaborators. Today's combined challenges of pandemic shutdowns, rising internet usage, and skyrocketing climate change concerns demand that the supply chain ecosystem better connect with customers, when and how they want, to provide products and services with high levels of availability and zero defects, yet collaboratively do this to reduce transportation and production risks, often at the same time reducing operational costs and carbon footprints. Addressing these challenges, this work explores the cloud delivery capabilities of cloud-native architectures to enable the big data integrations and analytics that are needed to grow smarter supply chain ecosystems. This work describes what smart supply chain ecosystems are and how they are planning to grow their technology and integration capabilities. Discussing the industry-leading advanced and manufacturing technology producer ecosystems, it is explained how their technology collaboration and investment plans are driven by climate change and job creation goals. With these background models, the work examines the new digital reality of customer-driven experiences and economies that are demanding cloud-native and intelligent technology partnerships to deliver climate objectives, operational responsiveness, and compatibility to avoid trading economies of scale for economies of integration. The final objectives of this paper are to share key ideas about the need to balance the growing customer service direct-to-consumer business models with those for collaborative investment by market and industry. In doing this, it hopes to promote an intelligent supply chain ecosystem foundation for helping its different participating countries survive and thrive in the digital economy.

Key business objectives for digital infrastructure cloud adoption are often framed in terms of reducing cost, improving fault tolerance and resilience, simplifying scale, and enabling innovation. Given the critical nature of the financial sector, however, where timeliness and price can significantly determine an outcome, cloud migration in delivery environments demands greater throughput on the critical path and, in many enterprise-scale settings, forgoes hybrid complexity and multi-cloud risks. Nevertheless, slack in system designs does exist; financial institutions enable market functionality—trading, clearing/best execution—despite potentially being able to meet such sets with lower service levels than other verticals. A cloud multi-account structure for sensitive data, for example, naturally limits exposure when combined with observed risk. Fulfilling predictions of elasticity during periods of high demand usually requires support from a dedicated environment (or environments) located nearer to the operations. Components can consequently be allocated on a per-account basis or maintained as shared sink systems to which the dedicated streams write. The automation code can similarly be targeted for dedicated accounts, avoiding the resource constraints that beset such operations during industry events like emergency triage/contact desking.

The automation of IT Service Management (ITSM) workflows using explicit rules and data has been established for years. Domain-specific rule engines interpret rules written in declarative rule modelling languages and generate forwarding arrows to process event streams and support decision making. Such automation is augmented by rule-driven Quality Assurance for correctness, safety, and risk management. The service desk is the onshore base of an ITSM supply chain. An end-to-end incident response service resolves incidents using only onshore resources and employs back office teams to help with unresolvable incidents. The forward factories of rule-based automation for ticket processing service are identified. Several rule-based workflows in incident and change management have been published. Further glimpses of the future across all ITSM workflows are provided based on training in an online ITSM service with automated operations. Rule engines are specialised components that direct the processing of data flows according to pre-defined rules. Decision factories complement the more common event-driven rule engines. While event processing occurs below the polling frequency of the source, rules in decision factories are triggered based on the arrival of data. These factories are applied in ITSM for risk and safety evaluation and quality assurance. Rule-enriched architectures incorporate domain-specific modelling languages to ensure correctness with respect to qualitative quality attributes. Dedicated factories provide resilience, detect slack or over-utilisation, and offer point-in-time assurance and testing.
