The Chinese film Wolf Warrior II floats all the way at the domestic box office, and jumps into the top 100 of the world's film box office rankings. It has achieved great economic success and ratings are overwhelmingly positive in China. Nevertheless, in stark contrast to this, Wolf Warrior II is cold at the box office abroad, and the word of mouth is not satisfactory. Transcreation is the re-creation or adaptation of content for a group of specific target audience. As an inter-related process of translation, a successful and holistic transcreation can arouse the same emotions as well as connotations produced in the target language as the source language. There are different perspectives to detailed translation analysis of China’s identity as a prominent character of contemporary society. Insofar as this research probes into the branding and in subtitle translation, it also constructs a binary theoretical model based on triadic signs of intersemiotic translation and metafunctional framework of multimodal analysis to testify China’s core values in this film and beyond.

Considering the current climate conjuncture, it is a consensus that green spaces in large contemporary urban areas should be increasingly more numerous and simultaneously more sustainable, being adapted to the edaphoclimatic conditions of the site, and with reduced maintenance costs. In the case of Algarve, where this research is focused, the current and future water availability, assumes a preponderant role in the design of green spaces, where the demands mentioned above can only be achieved if we deviate from conventional landscape practices and develop holistic strategies of management and design of green spaces that integrate different areas of knowledge and not merely aesthetic issues. In this context, this work aims to develop more adapted and resilient landscaping practices to the current and future climatic conditions of the Algarve, thus reinventing the concept of landscaping in the south of Portugal. Thus, it will be of paramount importance to develop more sustainable, resilient and tolerant projects to worsening ecological conditions, particularly limitations associated with water availability. The xeromorphic succulents are a group of plants with mechanisms of tolerance to water stress and with very specific characteristics, being succulence one of the most relevant. Studies on these mechanisms are increasingly frequent, which may prove to be very advantageous in our adaptation to future climatic challenges. In addition, their ornamental potential is enormous, since their bold forms and colours are a veritable sensory explosion, which, combined with their morphological and physiological characteristics, make them the species of choice in the reconversion or creation of xerophytic gardens.

This Practice-based research explores the innovative application of textiles in the creation of decorative flower vases, positioning them at the intersection of functional design and contemporary art. The study investigates the potential of techniques such as weaving, embroidery, and applique to transcend the conventional boundaries of the medium. Through a methodological framework combining material experimentation interviews with textile artisans and pottery producers in Accra, and critical reflection, the research examines the interplay of materiality, form and aesthetics. It integrates traditional Ghanaian motifs with modern design principles to create culturally resonant, sustainable artworks. The findings demonstrate textiles' significant versatility and creative capacity for producing unique decorative objects. This study contributes to discourses on material innovation and sustainable design by highlighting textiles as a dynamic medium for artistic expression. It offers practical insights for artisans and designers, underscoring the role of textiles in evolving traditional crafts for contemporary contexts.

In contemporary society, a marked decline in humanity's intrinsic values has become a point of lamentation for many observers. This is particularly evident when one considers the recognition often bestowed upon individuals of dubious character, while those who embody exemplary virtues are frequently overlooked or forgotten. In this context, this paper seeks to pay rightful tribute to David Kwadwo Boadu—the Renaissance Man of Kyekyeku—a figure whose remarkable life reflects a profound dedication to multiplicity and benevolence. This study delves deeply into his multifaceted contributions spanning various domains, including his roles as a husband, father, farmer, herbalist, midwife, hunter, catechist, musician, builder, arbitrator, counsellor, and cacao merchant. Each of these roles highlights essential themes of generosity and diversity, serving to illustrate how such attributes shape both an individual's identity and their contributions to the broader society. Utilising qualitative approach that involved interviews and employing the Streamwrite methodology—an innovative art-based approach designed to engage with the complexities of human experiences—this study underscores the critical importance of recognising individuals who exemplify these virtues as key to restoring the eroding humaneness in our communities.

Biomechanical and Functional Performance of Hip Prosthesis Materials in Total Hip Arthroplasty: A Systematic Review

This systematic review aimed to evaluate the biomechanical properties, functional performance, and clinical outcomes of different hip prosthesis materials and designs used in total hip arthroplasty (THA). A comprehensive search strategy identified 34 peer-reviewed studies published between 2015 and 2024. The materials investigated included cobalt-chromium-molybdenum (CoCrMo), titanium alloys, PEEK, ceramics, and advanced surface coatings such as polycrystalline diamond (PCD). In addition, dual mobility systems, lattice structures, and additively manufactured and patient-specific implants were assessed. The studies utilized clinical trials, finite element analysis, and biomechanical testing to compare outcomes such as wear resistance, stress distribution, osseointegration, and range of motion. The findings demonstrated that titanium alloys and porous lattice structures reduce stress shielding, while ceramics and CoCrMo provide superior wear resistance. Dual mobility implants improved joint stability and range of motion, particularly in high-risk patients. PEEK and PCD showed promising properties but lacked robust long-term data. The integration of advanced manufacturing technologies and material innovations has led to more personalized and biomechanically efficient solutions for THA. Further longitudinal studies are needed to validate these developments. This review provides a critical synthesis of the biomechanical, functional, and clinical implications of contemporary hip prosthetic systems.

This study explores the integration of Adinkra symbols into the set design of Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB), a popular beauty pageant and reality TV show that has aired on TV3; a private television station in Ghana. GMB showcases beauty, intelligence, cultural knowledge, and traditional values, celebrating Ghana's rich cultural heritage through female contestants representing the country's diverse ethnic groups. In response to the lack of coherent Ghanaian artistic elements in previous set designs, this study employed an artistic methodology to incorporate four Adinkra symbols, Okɔdeɛ Mmɔwerɛ, Duafe, Dweninimmɛn, and Mate Masie, into the set design for the show’s eighth season. These symbols, signifying beauty, strength, wisdom, and unity respectively, were creatively integrated into a crown-like set design for the grand finale, harmonizing aesthetic trends with cultural significance. The design process was informed by rigorous research and stakeholder interviews, ensuring that the selected symbols conveyed the intended cultural messages. The results highlight the potential of traditional symbols to enhance both the cultural relevance and visual appeal of television productions. The project enriches the cultural depth of GMB production and offers a blueprint for incorporating indigenous symbols into contemporary set design. The study recommends that future productions continue exploring traditional symbols to deepen the appreciation of Ghanaian heritage and strengthen cultural identity through visual arts.

This research has deeply examined the linguistic and rhetorical features of proverbs in Arabic language and literature. By comprehensively addressing the grammatical structures, narrative techniques and rhetorical features of the parables, the study has shown how impressive and instructive these elements are. The research also analyzed the role of parables in contemporary Arabic literature and how they approach modern social and cultural issues. The findings revealed the rich and diverse effects of parables on language and rhetoric, indicating that Arabic parables are powerful and effective literary tools in both historical and contemporary contexts. Additionally, the place of parables in contemporary Arabic literature, how this literary genre approaches social and cultural issues, and the effects of these approaches on society are detailed. In conclusion, this study highlights the effects of Arabic parables on language and rhetoric and how this literary form has evolved in modern times and its role in social communication. For future studies, it is recommended to conduct comparative analyzes with a wider range of texts and in various geographical and historical contexts. This will better reflect the cultural and historical diversity of Arabic parables and allow us to delve more deeply into the effects of modern technology and media.

PLCs, or programmable logic controllers, are essential parts of contemporary industrial automation systems and are responsible for managing and keeping an eye on a variety of operations. PLC reliability is critical to maintaining industrial systems' continuous and secure operation. A wide range of reliability strategies were used to improve the reliability of Programmable Logic Controllers, and this article methodically looks at them all. The evaluation classified PLC reliability techniques into Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Hazard analysis (HA), Reliability block diagram (RBD), Fault tree analysis (FTA), Physics of failure (PoF) and FMEA/FMECA, after thoroughly reviewing the body of literature. The proportion of reviewed papers using either RCA, RCM, FMEA/FMECA, FTA, RBD, RCM, PoF, or Hazard analysis to increase the reliability of PLCs showed that RCA, which makes up 20% of the publications reviewed, has been used the most to increase the reliability of the PLC, followed by HA, RCM, RBD, FTA, and PoF, which account for 17%, 16%, 16%,13%, 10%, and 8% of the articles reviewed, respectively. The paper discusses new developments and trends in PLC reliability, such as the application of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to fault detection and predictive maintenance.

The primary role of indigenous moral education is to inculcate positive attitudes, moral norms, ideals and virtues such as honesty, kindness, compassion, respect for others, and a sense of a common good. In a Ghanaian traditional society’s perspective, the morality of a person is judged according to his or her character. This position paper discusses the relevance of indigenous moral education and its relevance in contemporary Akwamu Traditional society in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The sources of indigenous moral education among the people of Akwamu society are proverbs, taboos, naming, puberty and marriage rites. The indigenous moral education provides moral values such as respect for authority, truthfulness, loyalty, obedience, tolerance, chastity and godliness to members of the Akwamu community. Besides the foregoing, the indigenous moral education systems, such as proverbs and puberty rites have outlived their usefulness in recent times among the Akwamus as a result of modernity which has introduced an alternative means of initiating young girls into adulthood. It is also important to note that even though some of the indigenous moral education systems have outlived their usefulness in contemporary times, the surviving ones should be incorporated into the modern moral education system so that the cultural identity of the people is preserved.

The SAP HANA Application to handle operational workloads that are consistent with transactions while also supporting intricate business analytics operations. Technically speaking, the SAP HANA database is made up of several data processing engines that work together with a distributed query processing environment to provide the entire range of data processing capabilities. This includes graph and text processing for managing semi-structured and unstructured data within the same system, as well as classical relational data that supports both row- and column-oriented physical representations in a hybrid engine. Our lives are becoming more and more digital, and this has an impact on how we work, study, communicate, and interact. Businesses are currently digitally altering their information systems, procedures, culture, and strategy. Existing businesses and economies are severely disrupted by the digital revolution. The Internet of Things, microservices, and mobile services are examples of IT systems with numerous, dispersed, and very small structures that are made possible by digitization. Utilizing the possibilities of cloud computing, mobile systems, big data and analytics, services computing, Internet of Things, collaborative networks, and decision support, numerous new business prospects have emerged throughout the years. The logical basis for robust and self-optimizing run-time environments for intelligent business services and adaptable distributed information systems with service-oriented enterprise architectures comes from biological metaphors of living, dynamic ecosystems. This has a significant effect on how digital services and products are designed from a value- and service-oriented perspective. The evolution of enterprise architectures and the shift from a closed-world modeling environment to a more flexible open-world composition establish the dynamic framework for highly distributed and adaptive systems, which are crucial for enabling the digital transformation. This study examines how enterprise architecture has changed over time, taking into account newly established, value-based relationships between digital business models, digital strategies, and enhanced enterprise architecture.

Despite the claims of significant benefits from using S4 Hana cloud ERP software, the possibility of achieving maximum productivity is not fully utilized. One of the causes of this reality is the underfunding of ergonomic measures and the newest technologies. Through the design of S4 Hana cloud ERP software applications, we will demonstrate how important and highly recommended ergonomic research is in order to minimize the financial and human costs that enterprises are currently facing.

The debate on culture clash necessitates a theoretical framework, and three perspectives that merit attention are homogenization, polarization, and hybridization theories. These intersecting paths lead to the hypothesis that all civilizations could assimilate into the Western model as it is currently conceived. Culture clash is approached from multiple angles due to the widely held belief that rejecting culturally novel concepts is unethical. However, imposing new rules and customs will inevitably encounter innate resistance, as evidenced by numerous examples. The exchange of behavioral models does exist, with one of globalization's main tenets being the universality of values – including the uprooting of what we refer to as primitive manners. Nevertheless, anthropology and cultural research have witnessed intergenerational and long-term survival of elements that contemporary civilization believed it had overcome or at least suppressed deep within the subconscious mind. This article will offer an essayistic approach to certain forms of culture clash.

The review article presents how emerging technologies improves the business enterprise applications for process management. The paper considers certain technologies of enterprise applications and justifies the updated methodological and analytical tools for assessing, selecting, and regulating business processes in a single enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Information technology must be used to identify products, track their movement into and out of the warehouse using code scanning technology, and streamline the product management procedure. To increase the dependability of management techniques, guarantee that the business operates flawlessly, and maintain a regular management mode, the process management form should be implemented in the enterprise management process. The implementation of digital information technology is essential for achieving effective corporate management. In addition to providing ideal operational circumstances for businesses, it is essential to analyse information technology and manage businesses economically. The foundation for implementing the enterprise applications method strategy is the creation of a process management system and an in-depth, methodical review of the enterprise as a collection of processes. Process-oriented enterprise applications should be the foundation of contemporary novel technologies for modelling business processes. It shares a tight relationship with workflow management systems (WFM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and total quality management (TQM).

This article seeks to relate the narrative strategies used by video channels on YouTube with the advertising of toys and electronic games intended for the Alpha generation. Based on the principle that we live in a society composed of different age groups, the main theoretical references that make it possible to understand generation as a local and global phenomenon will be exposed. After such concepts, the rise of the image and its importance for the new generations will be approached, to support the selection of the audiovisual platform YouTube and its growing fascination by the public. Finally, concepts from semiotics will be applied to verify the narrative and discursive power of video channels for contemporary children, also known as the Alpha generation.

This position paper discusses indigenous water resource conservation practices and modern methods to address challenges in Akwamu traditional area in the Eastern region of Ghana. Africa is bedeviled with environmental crisis in this 21st century, and this has been a major concern to environmental conservationists. In Ghana, one of such environmental crisis is pollution of water bodies as a result of indiscriminate human activities. Some have argued that non-recognition of indigenous knowledge in the management of water resources has been one of the major challenges of water resource crisis in Africa and Ghana is no exception. In the life and thought of indigenous people of Ghana, studies confirm that conservation of water resources is enforced through traditional religiously governed norms which have stood the test of time before formal institutions responsible for biodiversity conservation were established by government. Using Akwamu traditional area in Ghana as a case, this study explores how the indigenous people manage water bodies and to find out the possibility of incorporating indigenous knowledge practices and modern methods to address the current water resource problems in Ghana. Primary and secondary sources are employed for data collection. The study is carried out within the concept of ‘worldview’ to understand how indigenous people manage the environment through their indigenous belief systems. The findings are that; indigenous knowledge practices are potential tools for addressing water resource crisis in Ghana. The study also indicates that if indigenous knowledge practices are used alongside with the modern methods in water resource management, our water resource problems would be minimized if not totally solved in Africa.

The Adventures of Sasa and Esi is a dance theatre that takes its story reference from two short Ghanaian folktale stories the Adventures of Sasa and Esi, and the Witch of the Forest which were written by Martin Otchere Owusu and directed by Johnson Kwaku Edu and Latipher Amma Osei. The production was staged at the Amu Theatre of the Department of Theatre Arts, University of Education (UEW), Winneba from the 3rd to the 6th of November, 2016. Though the play was written for children it appeals to adults due to the lessons embedded in it. Both plays were adapted by the authors to include Ghanaian folk and popular contemporary choreographed dances and theatrical special effects make-up as key theatrical elements to drive the production and to project the element of spectacle. The style of presentation was naturalism and realism. The production also served as a learning platform for the cast and crew who were students in the Department of Theatre Arts, UEW as they participated in it. Through experimentation, experiences, and concept development, the directors’ style and professional background in technical theatre and creative dance heightened the element of naturalism and realism to underscore the theme of the play, understanding, and interpretation of the play.

This study aimed to examine the pedagogical knowledge base of Religious and Moral Education teachers in assessing students’ academic performance. The research design used for this study was the correlational research design. 159 basic schools were selected to participate in the study. The population of the study comprised Religious and Moral Education (RME) teachers and second-year students in basic schools in the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abirem Municipality in the Central Region of Ghana. Purposive and random sampling techniques were used to select basic schools, Religious and Moral Education (RME) teachers, and students for the study. In all one hundred and seventy-five (175) RME teachers and three hundred and fifty-seven (357) students were selected for the study. The main instruments employed in the study were questionnaires and observation. The data was analysed through the computation of frequencies, percentages, mean of means distributions, and the calculation of correlation coefficient. Pearson’s Correlational Coefficient was used to describe the linear relationship between each of the variables. This was done with the use of computer software called Statistical Product for Service Solutions (SPSS). The study concluded that teachers possessed adequate knowledge about the use of pedagogy or instructional methods when it comes to the teaching of RME. However, as observed, teachers use of the existential approach and the life theme approach only, and, teachers did not make use of the concept cracking approach to teaching RME probably because they lacked adequate information about how to use them. It is recommended that the Ministry of Education, Ghana Education Service, and the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment should organise in-service training for teachers to be abreast with some of these contemporary pedagogies for the teaching of RME in Basic Schools and also make modules available for use at the Colleges of Education to train our upcoming teachers at the Basic Schools.

The concept of the green economy is one of the global strategies to face contemporary societies' economic and environmental crises. Methodologically, the conceptualization, objectives, implementation, and criticism of various sectors of society to this new economic paradigm are addressed. It was found that authors and civil organizations have great expectations in the face of the challenges and challenges of this global strategy that has within its objectives sustainability, the eradication of poverty, and the inclusion of vulnerable social sectors. It is concluded that the green economy can contribute to maintaining a healthy environment and the proper use of ecosystem services, both for the present generation and for future generations.

Managing supply chains efficiently has become a major concern for organizations. One of the important factors to optimize in supply chain management is logistics. The advent of technology and the increase in data availability allow for the enhancement of the efficiency of logistics in a supply chain. This discussion focuses on the blending of analytics with innovation in logistics to improve the operations of a supply chain. An approach is presented on how predictive analytics can be used to improve logistics operations. In order to analyze big data in logistics effectively, an artificial intelligence computational technique, specifically deep learning, is employed. Two case studies are illustrated to demonstrate the practical employability of the proposed technique. This reveals the power and potential of using predictive analytics in logistics to project various KPI values ahead in the future based on the contemporary data from the logistics operations; sheds light on the innovative technique of employing deep learning through deep learning-based predictive analytics in logistics; suggests incorporating innovative techniques like deep learning with predictive analytics to develop an accurate forecasting technique in logistics and optimize operations and prevent disruption in the supply chain. The network of supply chains has become more complex, necessitating the need for the latest technological advancements. The sectors that have gained a fair amount of attention for the application of technology to optimize their operations are manufacturing, healthcare, aerospace, and the automotive industry. A little attention has been diverted to the logistics sector; many describe how analytics and artificial intelligence can be used in the logistics sector to achieve higher optimization. Currently, significant research has been done in optimizing logistics operations. Nevertheless, with the explosive volume of historical data being produced by the logistics operations of an organization, there is a great opportunity to learn valuable insights from the data accumulated over time for more long-term strategic planning. To develop the logistics operations in an organization, the use of historical data is essential to understand the trends in the operations. For example, regular maintenance planning and resource allocation based on trends are long-term activities that will not affect logistics operations immediately but can affect the business’s strategic planning in the long run. A predictive analysis technique employed on historical data of logistics can narrow down conclusions based on the future trends of logistics operations. Thus, the technique can be used to prevent the disruption of the supply chain.

Intelligent Detection of Injection Attacks via SQL Based on Supervised Machine Learning Models for Enhancing Web Security

The most prevalent technique behind security data breaches exists through SQL Injection Attacks. Organizations and individuals suffer from sensitive information exposure and unauthorized entry when attackers take advantage of SQL injection (SQLi) attack vulnerability’s severe risks. Static and heuristic defense methods remain conventional detection tools for previous SQL injection attacks study's foundation is a detection system developed using the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) network, which attempts to efficiently identify SQL Injection attacks (SQLIAs). The suggested Gated Recurrent Unit model was trained using an 80:20 train-test split, and the results showed that SQL injection attacks could be accurately identified with a precision rate of 97%, an accuracy rate of 96.65%, a recall rate of 92.5%, and an F1-score of 94%. The experimental results, together with their corresponding confusion matrix analysis and learning curves, demonstrate resilience and outstanding generalization ability. The GRU model outperforms conventional machine learning (ML) models, including K-Nearest Neighbor’s (KNN), and Support Vector Machine (SVM), in terms of identifying sequential patterns in SQL query data. Recurrent neural architecture proves effective in the detection of SQLi attacks through its ability to provide secure protection for contemporary web applications.
